A cavity is the space between the inner and outer bricks of a wall. These two walls are tied together to help hold the missionary in place with stainless steel cavity wall ties.

The most common sign of wall tie failure is the appearance of horizontal or hairline cracks in your walls or bulging brickwork. Existing wall ties and bolts can rust due to wet wall insulation resulting in porous walls.
